ADC12DJ3200EVMCVAL: ADC12DJ3200EVMCVAL

Part Number: ADC12DJ3200EVMCVAL

Tool/software:

We are following instructions in the document SLAU833a.pdf for the evaluation of ADC12DJ3200-sp part with the Alpha Data FPGA board. There are couple things unclear in the instructions. On page 12 it says "The FPGA firmware is using unsigned data and K value of 4." The GUI shows K value of 3 and K-1 value of 3. Should I change the K value to 4? Why is K-1 value always set equal to K value by the underlying software?

On the directions on page 24 it says Launch ILA Analyzer. When we do this step a cryptic error message comes up. If select continue other cryptic error messages come up.

Please help.

The FMC+ EEPROM installed on the ADC12DJ3200EVMCVAL does not follow the Vita specification (64K instead of 2K) and is impossible to program. The footprint does not allow the correct EEPROM to be installed.

Please help.

  • Hi Sergey,

Here are some of my thoughts:

    1) Are you using the ADC GUI to configure the device?

    2) What cryptic error? Please share any screenshots so we know what issues you are having. This will make it more clear.

    3) Unfortunately, the EVM wasn’t designed to be VITA standard and there is not much we can do here.

    Regards,

    Rob

  • Hi Rob. Thanks for your reply. Yes we are using the GUI Application to configure the device. We are following the SLAU833a.pdf . Here is the screenshot of the error when the ILA Analyzer application is launched.

If select continue we get the following screen:

Also please explain the format of the CSV sample file. I.e. where is the first sample, second sample, etc. Thanks Sergey
