We've implemented the ADS9218 on a new design and the device is working nominally except that the current draw per device is 56mA when sampling at 10MSps instead of the datasheet's maximum rating of 40mA. Is this errata with the datasheet? How was the circuit implemented when those current ratings were determined?

Just to clarify this is for the AVDD supply only, correct?
The configurations used for the data in the Electrical Characteristics tables is usually shared on the top of the table:
Could you share a schematic and what kind of configuration the ADS9218 was in when the >40mA supply current was measured?

Correct, from pg. 8 of the datasheet. Our test matched the conditions stated in the header for the table.
I will have to check for IP concerns before providing a schematic. I believe we have an NDA in place already - is there a way to take this conversation offline?
