DAC63004: Eval board and custom board

Part Number: DAC63004

Tool/software:

Hi team..

I need to generate 5V and 0V voltage from DAC through SPI interface. I have tested DAC63004-EVM board with the given GUI, everything is working correctly.

Now I have to use custom board having DAC63004 in it through SPI. As I wanted to use same GUI which is provided for Eval board, I have removed R13, R14, R15, R16, R17, R18, R19, R20 resistors from eval board and through J1.1, J1.2, J1.3 and J2.2 I have taken SPI lines and given to my custom board. I am assuming these changes should work out for my requirement but it is not. I have checked that all signals are reaching my custom board at DAC63004 IC pin (SYNC, SCLK, and SDI) but not getting any output from custom DAC63004. Am I misssing out something.

Note: Output load condition in both the boards: Unloaded. GNDs are made common between eval board and custom board.

Chavan

  • Hi Chavan,

Can you share the schematic of your board? Just the DAC63004 snippet should be fine.

If you are able to measure the SPI signals on your board then I assume there is no issue with that connection. Are you able to read back from the DAC63004 on your board?

Can you measure the voltage on the CAP pin on the DAC63004?

    Best,
