My customer is observing a group delay of approximately 2.5 conversion periods when using this ADC. I wanted to confirm that this behavior is expected. For a delta-sigma ADC with a sinc3 filter, the expected delay is 1.5 conversion periods. There seems to be an additional 1 conversion period delay and this post (link below) confirms that such a delay exists on a very similar TI delta-sigma ADC chip. Can you confirm if the 2.5 conversion period delay is expected?
