I have a question regarding the SPI configuration of the ADS131M08.
I´m using a TMS320F28379D DSP and I want to switch the word size of the SPI to 16 bit. I guess something went wrong in my configuration. The spi of the DSP is configured to 16 bit size (the maximum word size of the DSP). I send always ten words of 16 bit to the ADS131M08. You can see on
C1: Chip select
C2: Clock (10MBit)
C3: Dout (from DSP to ADS)
C4: Din (from ADS to DSP)
First of all I have read the status register. The result is 0x05ff (first word of the second frame is the response from the ADS) and this is ok.
Then I read the mode register. The result is 0x0510, this is also ok.
In the next step I want to change the word size to 16bit. For this I write the mode register with 0x0410, in order to change the bits WLENGTH[1:0] to 0:0.
When I read back the mode register, now I got a value of 0x1000. This is unexpected and not correct.
What is the problem in this configuation?
