AFE7900EVM: New GUI application issues

Part Number: AFE7900EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE7950EVM

Tool/software:

Hi expert,

Q1.

For new Latte version of 2.8, after setting the AFE system parameters configuration done in GUI mode, how to migrate to script mode?

If I load an excel configuration file of AFE system parameter in GUI mode, will it be displayed in script mode simultaneously?

Q2.

My customer want to use Latte(v2.8) with AFE7900EVM/AFE7950EVM as a repeater.

I found a document describing the AFE79xx as a single-chip wideband repeater solution, and I noticed that there was a switch button for the JESD loopback function in the old version of Latte.

However, in the new version of the Latte GUI, this button is no longer available, and I'm not sure how to enable this function now.

Thanks.

  • Hi Ryan,

    1. Starting from version 2.8, we suggest all new users to get started with GUI mode only. Script mode is for the users who have already been using it and for special cases that GUI mode doesn't support. For modes GUI doesn't support, TI can provide the scripts. If an excel config is loaded in the GUI, it won't be displayed in the script mode.

    2. The JESD loopback mode cases not supported by GUI (even in the pervious GUI versions. Even though the button is shown in the GUI, it didn't work as expected). JESD loopback modes shown in the app sections 2.1.4.1.1 to 2.1.4.1.5 can be configured through the attached scripts.
