DAC38J84: DC performance

We do not have the DC data available yet. We will need to check on how to measure the DC output characteristics as most of of phase noise analyzers such as E5052B and FSW may not be able to direclty measure the DC performance.

One thought is that you may use existing 50MHz performance and use the following equation to extrapolate and minimize the impact of the clock phase noise. The overall noise is the combination of the thermal noise + clock phase noise. By using the following equation, you can minimize the phase noise and observe the thermal noise.

Extrapolating the wideband phase noise would indeed give us the thermal noise floor, but not the 1/f noise and corner frequency. The FSW does start at a couple of Herz (using it as a SA, not to look at phase noise), so should be possible to measure the 1/f corner frequency (would guess that this frequency is at >100kHz) and part of the noise with it.
