DAC53701: Current Draw

Part Number: DAC53701
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC53001

Tool/software:

Hi team,

I have a customer with the below question. Let me know what you think and thanks in advance!

"I have a question about DAC current draw… For the DAC53791, the current requirements for Normal mode at Full Scale are listed as ~225uA as below.  I’m assuming Full Scale means the entire R-ladder is energized (i.e. for a 10-b DAC, code = 1023).  Does the current increase from the low end to the high end as you get higher up in the scale?  In other words, could I expect the current at code = 1 to be much less than the current listed at full scale?

Depending on the answer above, would you have any suggestions for an extremely low power DAC?"
