ADS1247 system monitor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1247

Hi,

for ADS1247 SYSTEM MONITOR are the calculations below correct?
(The internal reference voltage must be enabled when measuring)

Power-Supply and Reference Monitor

Voltage [V] = Conversion Result * 4 * 2.048 [V] * 1 / ( 2^23 - 1 )

Internal Temperature Monitor

Voltage [V] = Conversion Result  * 2.048 [V] * 1 / ( 2^23 - 1 )

118 [mV] @ 25 [°C] and 405 [uV / °C]

Offset [mV] = 118 [mV] - 25 [°C] * 0.405 [mV / °C]  = 107.875 [mV]

Temperature [°C] = ( Voltage [mV] - 107.875 [mV] ) 0.405 [mV / °C]

Thanks
Giuseppe

  • Guiseppe,

Your calculations appear correct.  One thing you can do to double check your formula is to work it both ways with simple calculations and you should end up with the same answer you started with for your starting point.
