ADS1298: ADS1298 Multiple Devices CMRR

Part Number: ADS1298

Tool/software:

Hello,

According to the datasheet, the typical CMRR is -115dB. The datasheet also mentions that multiple ADS1298 devices can be connected together. My question is if 2 of these devices were connected together would you expect the CMRR to decrease? or stay the same?

Would you know what the CMRR is for two ADS1298 devices connected together?

Many thanks

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your post.

The ADS1298 CMRR is specified by testing the individual channel performance without RLD. As such, the typical spec will not be at all dependent on the number of devices used to derive the RLD common-mode voltage. Only one RLD amplifier is needed in the system, but we offer the ability to use electrodes from other ADS1298 devices as part of the common-mode derivation. It is not imperative that you use this feature. Typically, only the primary electrodes (RA, LA, and LL) are needed.

    Regards,

    Ryan
