Hi data converter experts

I'm wondering if we need the fully differential input amplifier with the ADS127L11. The title "24-bit, 400-kSPS, delta-sigma ADC with easy-to-drive inputs and wideband or low-latency filters" and the block diagram

implies that the buffer in the analog input path is not required in any case.

But in the data-sheet and on the evaluation module "ADS127L11EVM-PDK"  there are differential buffers:

My question is now: What is the impact/consequences when we drive the ADC inputs directly without using an (external) buffer?

Thank you for your reply!
