ADS8860EVM-PDK: Problem of user and administrator privileges.

Thanks for your post. This is an artifact of this GUI  being developed for older Windows versions. In current Windows versions, the GUI is interacting with some of the files in now-restricted locations. Our software team is taking a look into this and seeing if there is a work around. I will get back to you in a day or two with an update.

Our software team published a new version (v 1.3.2) that should not require admin access. Please install it with whatever the default directory the installer suggests is (I believe it is My Documents): https://dr-download.ti.com/secure/software-development/gui-for-evaluation-module-evm/MD-qyrdgHIvLY/1.3.2/Setup_ADS8860_EVM.exe

Hi Samiha,

The software seems to work without the administrator privilege. However, when I tried to capture and log the captured data into a file by click on the tap Debug and log to file, it didn't do anything. Is it supposed to ask me to name the file name and the location where to store it? Did I missed something or the application cannot save any data into a file? I hope it should work like the one from the ADS7042 demo board.
