DDS39RF12: DDS39RF12

Part Number: DDS39RF12
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC39RF12EVM

Tool/software:

Dear Team,

As per the PIN functions given in the DDS39RF12 datasheet, it is recommended to separate the supply for VDDA18A, VDDA18B, VDDCLK18, VDDSYS18, VDDLA, VDDLB, VDDCLK10, VDDDIG, VDDEA, VDDEB, VEExA, and VEExB to reject cross talk between A&B, better phase noise performance and better SYSREF control noise rejection. What is the best way to separate these lines?, In DDS39RF12EVM few were separted by feedthrough is that okay else dedicated LDOs has to use?. We need a solution to isolate with minimum components.

  • Our recommendation for separating these supplies out is to follow as we designed on DAC39RF12EVM. To prevent power supply noise in phase noise profile, the LC filter (FB6, C83, C109, C110, C111) on the VDDCLK LDO output is required. I would design that LC using these exact parts or a very similar response ferrite bead.

    Thanks
