ADC3669EVM: ultra-low jitter clock source request

Part Number: ADC3669EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC3669, LMK05318B, LMK5B33216

Tool/software:

Hi,

I'm considering to use adc3669 ADC for my new design, and realized that the ADC requires ultra-low jitter clock.

I need an adc3669 compatible 500MHz clock source(Clock IC probably?) so that I can combine the clock to my newly designed board.

Can I get any good recommendation?

Kind regards

DK

  • Hi,

Do you know how many clock outputs you need? Something like LMK05318B or LMK5B33216 could be a good choice. These devices use a high-performance 2.5GHz VCO that can be divided down into 500MHz. I would expect the 12kHz-20MHz RMS jitter would be somewhere in the 40fs range. They also can generate a SYSREF signal for synchronizing multiple ADCs.

    Regards,
