DAC0800: DAC0832 replace design

Part Number: DAC0800
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC7528, DAC081S101

Tool/software:

I used DAC0832 for the design before, as shown in the picture. Because EOL requires substitute materials, I need to do compatibility design on one board. I looked at DAC0800, but I don't know how to design the output circuit to be consistent with DAC0832, or how to design the input with DAC081S101? How should TLC7528 be designed for input-output? Please provide separate opinions;

  • Hi Zhang,

    I'm a bit confused. Are you considering replacing DAC0800, DAC081S101, or TLC7528 as a replacement for DAC0832 and you are looking for guidance on how to use each in your current design? Are there key requirements in your current design that you are looking to maintain? Resolution, output drive, interface? For example, DDAC081S101 has a SPI interface so you would need to make sure you have a SPI controller in your system.

    Best,
