ADC12DJ5200RF: Additional Questions Regarding ADC12DJ5200RF Single Channel Mode

Part Number: ADC12DJ5200RF

Tool/software:

Dear TI Support Team,

We would like to ask a few additional questions regarding the use of the ADC12DJ5200RF in single channel mode.

In your previous response, you mentioned that INB is untrimmed compared to INA, and that performance differences between INA and INB may vary from unit to unit. Based on this, we would like to ask the following:

[Question 1]
We are planning to configure the ADC12DJ5200RF in single channel mode, measure the performance differences between INA and INB, and apply our own trimming to INB accordingly.
Would it be feasible to use INB in this manner?
If user-defined trimming is a valid approach, we would appreciate any guidance you could provide on how to perform it effectively.

[Question 2]
One of our customers has successfully implemented user-defined trimming with other TI ADC products in the past.
For the ADC12DJ5200RF, aside from trimming INB, are there any other considerations we should be aware of when using INB in single channel mode?

We sincerely appreciate your continued support.

Best regards,
Jeongju Go

  • Hi Jeongju,

We don't recommend Question 1, as you will get varied results over time from lot to lot of ADCs used in your application. So we cannot support this method.

I don't know of any other considerations based on your Question 2.

    Regards,

    Rob
