Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1298, ADCPRO, ADS1198, ADS1281

dear expert:

we have apply a ADS1281EVM board (not PDK), So we use the MMB0 from ADS1198. But the ADCpro can not working correctly it show the EVM/HW incompatible, the screen shoot as below. could you help me to know the root reason? Does the MMB0 have different version can not mixed use with ADS1281 and ADS1298(1198), Thanks for your help

  • Hi Robin,

The MMB0 is not tied to any particular EVM. The only board identifiers in our modular EVM scheme are EEPROMs on the daughter cards.

Can you share with us your jumper settings? Each of the positions on J7 should be shorted, J3 in the 2-3 position, J2 in the 1-2 position, J4 in the 2-3 position, J10 in the 1-2 position, and J1 in the 1-2 position. Also, you should apply +/-10V to the MMB0 at J14. Apply -10V to the -VA terminal, +10V to the +VA terminal, and power supply ground to the GND terminal. J13A should not be installed on the MMB0, but J13B and J12 must be installed. If you have a Rev C MMB0 ensure that S4 is in the USB position.

  • Kevin:

Thanks for your reply. it's very strange on my board, the J4 and J9 is empty, no jumper pin sold on it. I will try to fix it.and test again.

  • Robin,

J9 does not need to be installed, it's just there for setting address bits for the EEPROM. J4 could have some impact on the error you're seeing as well though. Let us know if your problem gets resolved.
