ADC3644: Data Acquisition Methods for SDR

Part Number: ADC3644

Tool/software:

Hello, I am essentially attempting to design a ~1 MHz Bandwidth SDR (with I and Q outputs) and have not been able to develop a scheme to acquire the 16-bits x 2 (IQ) x 2 (Nyquist) x 1MHz = 64MHz of serial data. Currently, I am using the decimation by 32 setting for complex decimation, but have not been able to collect this vast amount of data at the rate needed. I am using a microcontroller with 240 MHz clock speed (essp32-s3r8). Any pointers would be highly appreciated as collecting 8MB/s has proven difficult.

  • Hi Felipe,

Unfortunately, we don't know of anyone successfully using a microcontroller for data capture and therefore don't have any examples as of today.

Typically our customers use an FPGA or similar to collect the data at these speeds.

    Regards,

    Rob
