Tool/software:

We need 3.3V to (0.8V-5.0V) up and down translation for 100 MHz clock signal.

We have checked the part LSF0101 for this application with single supply configuration, but it is supporting only 3.3V to (1.8V-5V). There are Pull up resistors used on A and B side.

Is it possible to use Push-Pull type output with this single supply configuration with LSF0101 to achieve 100 MHz data speed during level translation.

if it is not possible with this device LSF0101. Can you please suggest any other suitable level translator for our application.

Hi Ishwar,

While the LSF0101 supports 100MHz bandwidth, the highest supported data rate would be dependent on external RC conditions as strong pullups would be needed (and would also result in heightened VOL levels as a tradeoff due to increased leakage current). The device itself is open-drain outputs, hence the reason for external pullups to aid for the logic high signals.

If the signals being level shifted are not auto-bidirectional in nature, there are more suitable translators with buffering capabilities/ higher bandwidth support without the speed vs. power tradeoffs of the LSF0101.
