ADC3669: ADC3649 and AC701 FPGA LVDS Signal Compatibility

Part Number: ADC3669
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADC3649

Tool/software:

I'm designing a new board that can connect to the AC701 FPGA development board, using the ADC3669EVM board as a reference.

I'm not sure whether the LVDS signaling levels listed in the ADC3649 datasheet are compatible with the LVDS levels of my FPGA board.

Could someone help me determine if they are compatible, so I can be sure before proceeding with the design?

Also, is it possible to access the design files (e.g., Altium) for the ADC3669EVM board to simplify the design process?

  • Hi,

Thank you for choosing TI High Speed Converter products. I am sorry to inform that our applications team for high speed data converters does not have the bandwidth available to support University inquiries at this time. If resource bandwidth becomes available, we will follow up with this question.

    Regards,

    Geoff

  • Texas Instruments does not have a policy of providing free products for university projects.

In other words, students are also Texas customers, and the potential for the projects they work on to turn into products cannot be disregarded. Therefore, I believe that students should also have access to support bandwidth.

Nevertheless, I will be waiting for your response.

    Thank you.

  • Hi Enes,

Since the ADC is the transmitter then you will need to contact the FPGA vendor to see if their requirements are hard limits or could be outside that scope.

    Regards,

    Geoff
