ADS1248EVM-PDK: Unable to connect to my ADS1248V2EVM-PDK

Part Number: ADS1248EVM-PDK

Tool/software:

After trying to connect to my brand new ADS1248V2EVM-PDK by following instructions in the manual, I'm getting the following error:

No EVM detected
Please remove power and connect the ADS1x48EVM to the PAMB controller.
If already inserted, please double check the header alignment.

Please restart or reload the GUI after inserting the EVM

If I click on the log file icon in the left side of the TI cloud page, I get the following error:

I2C EEPROM not programmed yet

Note: This was after following the instructions to install the browser add-on and the TI cloud application.  Problem happens on 2 different computers with 2 different browsers (Chrome and Firefox) and multiple reloads of the web page.

Looking for help from TI to see if this product is DOA.
