ADS1299: Regarding the connection issue of three ADS1299 chips

Part Number: ADS1299

Tool/software:

Dear TI engineer:
Hello, I encountered some confusion while designing a 24 channel EEG and drawing the schematic diagram for connecting three ADS1299 chips. I have the following two questions to ask
1: Assuming I design a 24 channel EEG to connect three ADAS1299 chips, using SRB1 or SRB2, should I connect the three SRBs after using one of them
2: Should three ADS1299 chips, BIASUT, BIASN, BIASNV, and BIASREF, be connected using one chip or all three? How should they be connected
We look forward to your reply!
thank you!!

  • Hello Tan,

    Thank you for your post.

If you want to share a single reference electrode to all ADS1299 devices, I would suggest to include a low-noise amplifier for each ADS1299 to buffer the SRB1 input pin. You can include a provide to short around the buffer if you find that it is not necessary.

The datasheet describes the necessary BIAS amplifier connections when using multiple devices:
