ADS1299: Input signal minimum frequency acquisition capability

hi,

I'm Smitha, hardware manager, currently working on EEG headband design development. I came across ADS1299 for EEG AFE. I would like to confirm that ADS1299 is capable of acquiring and processing of EEG delta signals having frequency range 0.5Hz to 4Hz. In datasheet, in detailed design procedure, frequency range mentioned as 1Hz as minimum (Page 64, table 29) but we would like to ensure it can acquire and process minimum 0.5Hz signals (delta wave in EEG)

Request your response at the earliest in this regard so we can finalize on component selection for AFE.

    Hello Smitha,

    Thank you for your post. 

    Yes, the ADS1299 can support input signal frequencies as low as DC (i.e. there is no minimum). The limit will only come from the quality of your input signal acquisition and the low-frequency noise content in your system.
