AMC7834: Transient Noise Immunity

Part Number: AMC7834

Tool/software:

Hi team,

I'd like to check the robustness of the AMC7834 when exposed to a short transient.

The CS, CSLK, SDI pins can experience a voltage swing from -1.0V min. or 4.0V max. lasting approximately 60ns under IOVDD is 3.3V in my customer's system.

This transient falls outside the absolute maximum ratings, but is is too short to assess based solely on that in the datasheet.

Could you advise whether  such a transient is tolerable for AMC7834?

Best regards,
Kazuki Itoh

  • Hi Itoh-san,

Any voltage outside the stated datasheet parameters can cause damage to the device, no matter the length. If this is a repeated occurrence, it would be best to figure out a way to prevent this voltage spike.

    Thanks,
    Erin
