VCA8617 Gain Error

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: VCA8617

In VCA8617 datasheet I have found how gain error depends on Vcntrl. In table on page 3 it says maximum possible gain error is 1.7dB. Its dependance on Vcntrl is shown in figures on page 8. However, it is also very important for me to know what is the maximum possible discrepancy for gains between different channels. Is such information available?

Thank you,

Igor

  • Igor,

I am not the right expert to answer your question, but it looks like the information you are looking could be in Figure 13 and 14. Your inquiry was moved to wrong forum so I will move again for best support for your question.

  • yes i understand the important of ch to ch matching in the same chip.

our device to dev gain matching is +/-1.7dB. i would expect the ch to ch matching should be around +/-0.3 to 0.5dB typically. the gain matching in the same chip is usually much better than dev to dev matching.

please let me know if this is sufficent data.

    Thanks!

ps. also you may post VCA related questions to medical imaging forum.
