ADC12DJ3200: Configure using labVIEW

Part Number: ADC12DJ3200

Tool/software:

is there a way to configure this EVM using labVIEW. or ADC12DJxx00 GUI control using labVIEW? I wan to configure ADC12DJ3200 EVM using labVIEW as part of bigger application which is developed in labVIEW

  • Hi Rasi,

Unfortunately there is not a way to control the GUI using Labview.

    Regards,

    Rpb

  • Is this possible to share GUI sourcecode or may be share any documentation of communication interface details between board and the GUI?

  • Hi Rasi,

Unfortunately, I cannot give that out to you either. This GUI was developed by a third party vendor that we no longer use.

What are you trying to do exactly, so we can possibly better help you?

    Regards,

    Rob

  • We are using ADC12DJ3200EVM board and connecting our own FPGA device, I am developing a labVIEW application to regress and test our FPGA Design . we want to restart the FPGA board and EVM board and configure them automatically from our labVIEW application so that it can be run for multiple cycles. It is a custom automation solution.  I have no way to automatically configure the EVM board , to replace what we are manually doing using ADC12DJxx00 GUI. I am trying a way to configure the EVM from LabVIEW .

Is there a way to set some settings as default on the ADC12DJ3200EVM  board so that on power-on it is always in a particular setting? I dont see any option like that in the ADC12DJxx00 GUI.

That is why if there is any command interface document with details of data exchange between the GUI and EVM board or GUI source code it will be very useful. I have seen many posts requesting for this but didnt find my answers anywhere.  With automation solutions everywhere , I request you to provide some kindof support to get this automation working.

  • Hi Rasi,

We typically do not support automation scripts for measurement collection. There are too many variants on what people would want to collect and how it would be displayed etc. Typically customers will use Python in order to do their data collection.

Getting back to the ADC GUI, I was able to find an archive version of LV on the DJ3200 ADC GUI.

    Please see attached.

Unfortunately, the code is "as is" and is given to you as a courtesy. We cannot support additional questions on this.

    Regards,

    Rob

  • Hi Rob,

Thanks for the info but unfortunately the shared the content doesn't help, it just has a few random files but not the actual source files. I was just looking for ways to automate the onboard Fs Selection , Decimation and serial data mode selection and Program clocks and ADC.

  • Hi Rasi,

I did in fact send you the source code.  It is the way the company that developed the GUI designed it.  You should be able to find what you are looking for by opening the main.vi and going from there.  It will take some digging on your part.

    Regards,

    Geoff
