ADS8681W: Thermal pad

Hello,

My customer is asking me if the thermal pad should be connected to GND for ADS8681W.

I found the below post for non-W version which answered it should be,.

But the land pattern under the thermal pad of the EVM looks like not connecting anwhere (I can't see any via on it).

Shoudl the thermal pad be connected to GND?
