ADS8695: Evaluation of ADS8695 (Alternative EVM and Availability Inquiry)

Hi,

We are currently considering the evaluation of ADS8695 (TSSOP-16 package).

  • ADS8681EVM-PDK
    　→ This EVM uses ADS8681 in a TSSOP-16 package, and we were considering it as a potential candidate for replacing with ADS8695. However, it is currently out of stock on the TI Store.

  • ADS8681WEVM-PDK
    　→ This EVM is available on the TI Store, but it uses the WQFN-16 package. Therefore, we understand that ADS8695 (TSSOP) cannot be mounted on this board due to the package incompatibility.

Based on the above, could you please advise on the following:

  1. Is there an alternative EVM available that directly supports evaluation of ADS8695 (TSSOP-16 package)?

  2. Do you have any information regarding the next availability date of the ADS8681EVM-PDK (TSSOP-16 package)?

    Hello Conor, 

    Apologies for the delay. 

    The recommended method of evaluating the ADS8695 would be with the ADS8681EVM. We are in the process of brining the EVM back in stock soon. 

    Would it be of any interest to start the evaluation with the ADS865W ? It is the 16-bit version of the ADS8695, but it does have the WQFN package that can be evaluated with the ADS8681WEVM-PDK.

    Hi Yolanda,

    I plan to replace the ADS8681 with an ADS8695 on the ADS8681EVM and evaluate it.
    Could you please let me know when the ADS8681EVM will be restocked?

    It is currently in progress of going back online, I will check with the internal team for the timeline and get back to you. 

    In the mean time could you please share your project timeline? And if acceptable, what the use case for the ADS8695 evaluation will be? 

    Or if I could be of any other assistance with your ADS8695 design?

    Hi Yolanda,

    The project schedule is as follows.

    ■Project Schedule:
    - October 2025: First prototype
    - January 2026: Mass production planned

    In order to newly consider the ADS8695, we would like to evaluate it on an EVM before mounting it on a prototype board. Please contact us as soon as you know the EVM arrival schedule.
