DDC112: Signal drops

Part Number: DDC112

Tool/software:

Hello,

We have an application with 5 cascaded DDC112 connected to photodiodes.

We have noticed a weird issue where one of the DDC112 shows a significant drop in output signal, both channels of this one chip are influenced at the same time. (affected chip is not the first or last chip in the cascade).

It happens very rarely and is only one datapoint, reduction in output value ranges from 10-30%.

In our test all channels are fed from the same light source, so its not caused by the light source.

As the chips are in a cascaded configuration they are also fed with the same clock, CONV etc. We also tried to correlate the dip to the integration capacitor sizes, to rule out the chip uses a different integration capacitor for a single sample but the dip in signal does not correlate with that.

Due to the very low rate of occurrences it is hard to reproduce, but these dips are a big issue in our application.

Any idea what could cause this behavior of the DDC112? Or what we could measure?

Thanks in advance.
