Hi Paul,
Current draw-wise, our datasheet has quiescent current specs. When the ADC is not converting, the current should be pretty stable.

Hi Erin - Thanks for the zippy reply. I'm seeing a 150 kHz spur that goes away when I disable the PADC bit. The ADC was not being triggered. It would also be good to know which power/ground pins are delivering this current. AVDD, BVDD, DVDD; AGND, DGND, SGND. When I redo this design, I can help prevent this 150 kHz signal from getting into the sensitive circuits. Any info that you can provide would be useful. Thanks again! Paul

Interesting! Is this noise on the DAC output/ADC input? Do you have the amplitude? I'm curious if I'd be able to see it on my EVM. That could potentially help with isolating the problem.

Hi Erin - I found the root cause. It was insufficient bypass capacitance for a LDO. Under certain load conditions it oscillates. Thank you for your support. Paul :)

Will do - So far it appears to work fine. I will probably use this in future designs. It has a good mix of functions and I like the SPI interface (which introduces no digital noise once you are done talking to it). For low noise applications, this is a good feature. I tested other hardware that used a USB interface and it seems like no matter how much folks tried to isolate it from sensitive circuits - the digital noise got in (I'm talking very low noise circuits).
