I’m new to hardware design and currently working on a project where the customer requires selectable impedance (50 Ω and 75 Ω) as well as selectable AC/DC coupling.
As a starting point, I used oscilloscopes as a reference to understand how these features are typically implemented. Based on my research, I created a block diagram. However, I still have some doubts.
At the initial stage, I planned to use one RF switch for 50 Ω and another for 75 Ω, but I’m not sure how to properly route the BNC input to these switches.
So, my questions are:

Is this design approach correct?

Is it practical and reliable for real-world implementation?

Is there a better way to achieve selectable impedance and coupling without introducing issues at the input?
