ADS131M03: use for loadcells

Tool/software:

I am looking to use the ADS131M03 to sample three loadcells.

Is there anything I need to look out for when using this part as opposed to using three dedicated parts (eg HX711 or NAU7802)?

    Hi Jesse,

     Bridge measurement is typically made with a ratiometric reference configuration and uses an external voltage reference, but ADS131M03 does not have external voltage reference input. Both HX711 and NAU7802 are two-channel Delta-Sigma ADC with a multiplexer, so

    • If you do not need a Simultaneously-Sampling ADC, ADS1220 (SPI) or ADS122C04(I2C) are good optional for you, we will also release new-generation ADC late this year. If low noise and high performance are expected, you can consider ADS126x or ADS1235.
    • If you want need a Simultaneously-Sampling ADC, ADS131E04 or ADS131E08 is a good option for you.
