DAC39RF12EVM: How to configure LMK04828 via GUI?

My customer would like to evaluate DAC39RF12EVM, but they do not know how to set desired clocks and have some questions.

They evaluated DAC39RF20EVM before and they was able to configure LMK04828 via GUI (like Figure 2-6 in the EVM user’s guide). However, they can find how to configure LMK04828 via GUI (Figure 2-4 in the EVM user’s guide). Please let them know how they can configure LMK04828 on the EVM. They would like to generate 250M REFCLK and 7.8125MHz SYSREF from external 250MHz input.

Hirano,

You don't. It is automatically configured by how the GUI sets up the DAC.

Hirano,

They don't directly program the LMK. When the GUI configures the DAC, the LMK is configured to the correct mode for that particular mode of the DAC.

Geoff,

My customer requirements are as follows.
- SYSREF: 7.8125MHz
- Reference clock: 250MHz
- Sampling rate: 8Gsps (Interpolation: 8)
They set the GUI as follows, but they were not able to get the desired frequencies, and SYSREF was not generated since SYSREF_PD bit is 1. What are wrong in their GUI setting?
Please let them know the proper GUI settings to achieve their requirements.
