In the datasheet, in the Typical Application schematic, CS# is tied to ground. We are trying to determine if we should do the same thing in our design. What are some reasons you would NOT want to tie CS# to ground?

Hi Charles,
With this device, ~CS essentially works as an IO enable pin (active low). The operation of the interface depends on the RD pin, and initiating an ADC conversion depends on the CONVST pin. You can tie ~CS to ground without any adverse implications.
