AMC7908: PAON feature

Does AMC7908 IC support PA_ON feature and remote temperature sensing? Can i use this IC as bias monitor and controller for GaN power amplifier?

If PA_ON is not supported, is it advisable for GaN Power amplifier biasing? Please suggest alternate solution if any for GaN.

Hi Ajay,

The AMC7908 is a bias monitor and controller for GaN, but it has current and voltage sense inputs. It sounds like the AFE10004 data sheet, product information and support | TI.com is what you're looking for. This device is an autonomous remote temperature sensing GaN PA bias controller. It has a PAON pin as well. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for your reply. I am more interested in AMC7908 IC. Does it have PA ON feature and remote temperature sensing? Also please suggest if we need PA ON feature in addition to DAC ON/OFF (default) feature to control a GaN PA effectively?
