ADS5281: Request for Documentation and Sample Code for AD9257 LVDS FPGA Interface

Part Number: ADS5281

Tool/software:

Dear TI Support Team,

I am currently working on a test and measurement project involving the ADS5281, and I am planning to interface its 8-channel LVDS outputs (data, data clock, and frame clock) with a Xilinx FPGA (Artix 7).

Could you kindly provide me with sample code, wiring considerations, or any available documentation that would help ensure a proper connection between the  ADS5281 and the FPGA? Any reference designs or application notes that you could share would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your support. I look forward to your guidance.

Best regards,

  • Hi Razieh,

Unfortunately, we do not have any sample code or reference documentation other than what is posted on the ADS5281EVM page.

This device is pretty old and FPGA Artix7 was not out on the market at that time.

  • Hi Rob,

Thank you for your response and for clarifying the situation regarding the ADS5281. I wasn’t aware that this device is considered old.

Could you please suggest a newer ADC that would be better suited for use with an Artix-7 FPGA? Ideally, I’m looking for a device that has available reference code, documentation, or example projects to make integration easier and ensure good support going forward.

Your guidance on a recommended alternative would be greatly appreciated.

    Razieh

  • Hi Razieh,

Unfortunately, we don't have any newer devices that are octal ADCs?

We do have several dual ADCs that interface to the Artix-7 FPGA, however, we are not giving the FW away just yet until further notice.

    Regards,

    Rob
