ADS7952: Any glitch when channel transistion?

Hello team,

My customer has experienced glitch in voltage reading, when transitioning between channels, in other ADC.

Customer is now considering to use ADS7952, but wondering if this device does have similar behavior?

    Hi Kuwahara-san,

    I believe this will be a concern with any muxed SAR ADC. During switching, the ADC input can experience a large step signal transition, i.e. the potential difference from one input and the other.

    Because of this, it will be important to properly design the analog front end of the ADC. I recommend viewing the Precision labs series: Analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) series of videos, specifically the seven videos in the SAR ADC input driver design category. It will be important to select the correct RC values and amplifier (if necessary) to avoid performance issues, especially when switching mux channels.
