ADC3664EVM: Can't connect to ADC3664EVM by ADC36xxEVM GUI.

I can't connect to ADC3664EVM by ADC36xxEVM GUI.

Please teach me how to use.

Conditions,
--Connect PC and A via USB cable
--Input 12V from DC jack
--Verify ADC3664EVM USB LED is lit
--Verify ADC3664EVM Power LED is lit

After confirming the above, launching the ADC36xxEVM GUI results in an error as shown in the image.

Checking Device Manager shows USB recognition as follows:

It seems like an FX3 USB driver error.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the ADC36xxEVM GUI, but the same issue persists.

What could be wrong?

Please send us a picture of the ADC36xx EVM you have?

We recently updated the EVM HW and want to make sure you the correct HW that goes with the GUI you are trying to use.

Hi Kato,

Please remove all other USB connections and turn off and disconnect the ADC3669 EVM as well.

Also, shut the EVM GUI down too.

When only connect the ADC3669EVM to your PC or laptop, don't use a USB hub and turn on the ADC and then start the GUI again.

It should work. There might be a conflict with another device or board connected to your PC or laptop.

Let me know if this works.

I try that, But the error won't go away.

There is a patch(SBAC273) on this page, does this have anything to do with it?

Hi Kato-san,

The error you are experiencing is due to the drivers for the TSWDC155EVM Capture board not being installed. These drivers should be installed when you install the ADC36xxEVM GUI. A second installation window will appear for the "FX3 Drivers" to be installed.

If you have done this and your GUI is still not working, please do the following:

1. Right click on the device and click on update driver.

2. Click on "Browse my computer for drivers"

3. Click on "Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer"

4. Select the "Texas Instrumetns Sparrow Device" and click next to install

This should fix the issue.

Can I use ADC36xxEVM GUI is without TSWDC155EVM??

Rob says we can use ADC36xxEVM GUI only ADC3664EVM.

Hi Kato,

The ADC3669 family is different from the ADC36xx family of ADCs/devices.

Yes, you can use the ADC36xxEVM GUI without using the TSW board.

Hi Kato,

Yes, please ensure that you are using the ADC36xxEVM GUI with the ADC3664EVM.

Actually, the ADC36xxEVM GUI currently cannot be used without the TSWDC155EVM. We will push an update for the GUI to allow this in the future. But for now, you must have the TSWDC155EVM connected for the GUI to work properly.
