DAC8803: Regarding multiplying DACs

Hi team,

My customer is currently using a multiplying DAC.

The device in use is the R2A20178NP, but since other manufacturers are also phasing out similar products, we are now looking for alternatives.

I believe TI does not currently offer an “8‑channel multiplying DAC with externally configurable reference,” but do you have any plans to develop such a product in the future?

    Hi Kyohei-san,

    We do not have any new 8-bit MDACs in development.  For these older devices, we have found that our buffered, VDAC devices have been able to replace most lower-resolution MDACs when the design is updated due to improvements in performance.  For example, a device like the DAC53608 can usually replace the MDACs at lower cost, size, power, etc.
