AMC8V208: Some questions about pin terminations

Part Number: AMC8V208

Hello,

My customer has some questions about pin termination as follows.
Q1:
When using IDACP1 and IDACP2 without external FETs, can IDACP1_EXT, IDACP2_EXT and MUXOUT pins can be left open? Or do they have to be terminated somehow? Of the latter, please let me know the correct terminations for each pin.

Q2:
When IDAC1 does not need to sink current at all (source only), VEE pin can be connected to GND?

Q3
When not using GPIO0-2 at all, can they be left open?

Best regards,

K.Hirano

  • Hi Hirano-san,

Q1: If you use the IDACP outputs in internal mode, you can leave IDACPx_EXT open. They will be internally pulled to PVDDP1 and PVDDP2 when the IDACP pins are used in internal mode. If you do not use the MUXOUT pin, you can leave it floating as well.

Q2: You can set VEE to GND if IDAC1 does not require sink current.

Q3: These pins can be left floating if you have high confidence that they will not be accidently configured to be inputs. I would recommend using a pullup resistor to VIO on GPIO0. GPIO1 and GPIO2 should be directly connected to VIO.

    Thanks,
    Erin
