ADC3683EVM: ADC36xxEVM GUI Error when following Instructions

I have been following the instructions in the ADC36xx Evaluation Module User Guide sbau366b and getting an error when I get to starting the ADC36xxEVM application in step 10 of section 4.1

The error details are below.

Hi Stephen,

Is the ADC and TSW board connected together and both are powered on first? Then you are starting the ADC GUI after?

Is that sequence being followed?

Please advise.

Yes. I initially had a problem with the board not connecting properly earlier but this gives a No Matching EVM: Simulation message at the bottom of the ADC36xx EVN GUI screen. The issue I have occurs once it has detected the board and recognizes it but then fails.

Okay, thank you for the details.

Can you send us a pic of the ADC EVM you have and are trying to interface the GUI with?

We recently made updates to many of the ADC EVMs in this family, so it would be good for us know exactly what you are working with.

Hi Stephen,

The error you received indicates that the GUI was able to connect to the USB handle for the EVM, but it was not able to communicate with the ADC. Please ensure the following is correct BEFORE opening the GUI:

The EVM is provided a 12V power supply through the DC Barrel Jack and the power switch is set to "JACK". When The ADC is powered, you will see the AVDD and IOVDD LEDs illuminate green.
The COMMS switch is set to USB
The ADC is receiving a CLK signal

If the above is done properly, you should not receive this error.
