Dear TI Team,

We're planning to use this ADC Part (ADC3544) in our design.

Could you please advise whether the ADC3544 device is applicable for video digitizing?

    Hi Sandhiya,

    Certainly the ADC3544 can be used for video applications.

    These have been used in many different imagining apps from various customers.

    Hi Rob,

    We have a plan to use this EVM with ADC (ADC3544EVM).

    Before using this EVM (ADC3544EVM). Could you please confirm whether this EVM is compatible with STD VITA 57.1 FMC HPC Module.

    And if not met the STD VITA 57.1 FMC HPC Module, Kindly suggest us an ADC FMC with the below requirements.

    ADC FMC Requirement:
    • ADC :  Single/Dual Channel

    • Bit Resolution : 14 bit/ 16 Bit

    • Sampling rate : 50 to 100 MSPS

    • Application: Video Digitzing

    • STD FMC HPC Connector

    Hi Sandhiya,

    Unfortunately, this is not VITA 57 compliant, either are most ADC EVMs from us or them :).

    Unless you buy an FMC module that clearly states this VITA standard. There are several companies out there that focus on this.

    If you are simply interested in using the EVM for development on a standard FPGA dev kit, it will work, we have had many customers do this.

    It might be good to review the schematics of the EVM and the FPGA dev kit you plan to use to ensure its connectivity.

    I would suggest this EVM or the ADC3644EVM for the dual of the ADC3544.
