ADS9327EVM: unnormal capture data 17bit

My customer test ADS9327EVM with latest version GUI.

We found the data capture by GUI is 17bit. I think ADS9327 is 16bit right?

Could you help me check why we have different result.

    Just to make sure I understand, the only steps taken were 

    1. Initialize GUI
    2. Click "Board Startup"
    3. Click "Initialize Device"
    4. Go to "Device Capture" Tab
    5. Click "Start Capture"

    Correct? or where there any other steps taken in between? Was the ADC configured any differently? 

    What is the input signal amplitude and frequency on channel 1? 

    Could you please share an image of the EVM hardware configuration?

    Thank you for your help.

    Yes , customer follow this step to setup EVM.

    This error will be reported by the choose ADS9327 device, and we set magnitude of 4.2V full-scale input, and the frequency should be 2kHz .

    But it could read the data normally by ignoring it.

    For the Error programming disconnecting the controller board from usb for about a minute then trying again usually removes that issue. 

    a 2nd debugging step to take is to initialize the device as normal, then initialize the device a 2nd time but with J15[7:8] shorted (CS & SMPL_CLK) to and see in the data log if the auto-cal passes. 

    On the hardware setup, if the input signal is single ended than keep J14 and J15 as is, but if it is differential then please remove them. 

    This also looks to be like one of the early versions of the EVM, which should work fine, that is no issue, but I did want to confirm the version of the ADS9327 device. Is the current device the one that was originally placed or has it been replaced for another, newer device?   

    Doing a trial attempt with no jumper on J12 would be another test I would suggest.
