Not sure if this is the right place to post.

I am keen to evaluate AFE7225 and I do need the RX and TX EVM. If TSW3100EVM is not available, is there any port or way I can evaluate AFE7225 using other means? I am hoping to run both 2 DAC and 2 ADC at the same time.

Hi,

AFE722xEVM can be evaluated with TSW3100 for TX and TSW1200 for RX at the same time. The loop back function, RX-TX and TX-RX, can be also verified with this setup.

AFE7225 has 12-bit dual DAC with 250Msps and 12-bit dual ADC with 125Msps. AFE7222 has 12-bit dual DAC with 130Msps and 12-bit dual ADC with 65Msps.

With one AFE7225, direct up/down conversion system can be designed.

Hi KW,

What if I do not have TSW3100 and I still want to evaluate the AFE? Is there an easy way that I can hook it up with some equipment or simpler board to test?

Unfortunately, there is no other way but to use TSW3100 at this moment because AFE722xEVM is supposed to get data, frame clock, sync clock through high speed connector from TSW3100. I'll check it other options to be used but not sure.
