DAC80508: Current output DAC

Part Number: DAC80508
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01525, DAC80516, DAC60096, AMC60704

Dear Technical Support Team,

I need 0mA-150mA current output solution.

I find TIDA-01525. It seems standart solution with DAC and BJT (max 200mA).

TIDA-01525 reference design | TI.com

Are there any current-output DACs capable of producing an output current of 0 mA to 150 mA on their own?

In TIDA-01525, will it work even if I use the DAC80516(16ch) and DAC60096(96ch)?

  Best Regards,

ttd

  • Hi ttd,

Any voltage DAC can be used to generate a current output with that reference design circuit. For current output specific DACs, we have some current output DACs for ONET applications. The AMC60704 is an example of one. Please contact l-brum@ti.com to see if these DACs would be appropriate for your application. These are very specific high end devices, so they require an NDA to see full information.

    Thanks,
    Erin
