ADS124S08: 4-wire RTD Design

Hi Brennan Hartigan,

1. The ADS124S08 is capable of measuring 4x 4-wire RTDs using one device. You can reference our RTD Design Guide for more information: https://www.ti.com/lit/sbaa275. Figure 17 below shows that 12x analog inputs and 1x set of differential reference inputs are required for this configuration, which the ADS124S08 supports. How many number of 4-wire RTDs do you need on one ADC?

2. ADS124S08 has 5mmx5mm TQFP or VQFN, so the total layout area will be ADS124S08's package size plus the resistors and capacitors shown in the figure above. You can use the smallest package size of the passive component as you can.

We only have ADS1120-Q1, ADS1148-Q1, and LMP90080-Q1 as automotive today.

We plan to release a new ADC as Q100.

Thanks, what is the maximum # of 4-wire RTDs that can be interfaced with ADS1148-Q1? Is there a similar design guide?
