ADS112C14: ADS112C14 Processing Time Including Delay ,Latency and a sample time in Single-Shot Mode

Part Number: ADS112C14

Hi TI team.

I have estimated the total processing time for the ADS112C14 in single-shot mode with MODE = 3 and OSR = 128. Figure 7-11 shows the latency and conversion time in continuous mode, but there was no  diagram for single-shot mode. In continuous mode with MODE=3 and OSR=128, as shown in Table 7-6, T_latency is simply T_delay + 258 µs+Tdatas and it appears that the processing time for the  single sample (125 µs) is included in this T_latency as pipeline prosessing. However, in single-shot mode, is it necessary to add the processing time for a single sample (125 µs) additionally to estinate the total processing time?

Or, as shown in Figure 7-11, can I assume that the processing time for one sample is included in the T_latency as shingle shot mode too?

  • Hello Moto,

Welcome to the E2E forum and thank you for your interest in our precision ADCs!

Your understanding is correct. The processing time for one sample is included in the latency time for single-shot mode.
