ADS9212: can i use sample frequency less than 4MHz

Part Number: ADS9212

i want to use this chip for an application where i need  1MSPS speed, so can i provide sampling clock less than 4MHz ? because in data sheet it shows minimum 3.9MHz

  • Hello Diju,

Can you please share more information on the needs of your system? We have other 1MSPS SAR ADCs that I can suggest

    If you want 18-bit and

    • single-ended, resistive input, and integrated PGA : ADS8691, this is a single channel though.
    • fully differential traditional SAR (no integrated PGA): ADS8910B, this is also a single channel
      • This family of devices also has a 20-bit resolution if interested: ADS8900B
    • 2 channels and easier to driver traditional SAR ADC: ADS9316, this one is a 3MSPS but can be used with 1MSPS sampling frequency.
      • This family of devices also has different variants but the highest resolution is 18-bit. Soon there will also be variants with different input configurations.

If 18-bit resolution is not a must, we have a wider range of devices that have 1MSPS. Could you please share:

    • Resolution:
    • Input configuration (single-ended, differential, pseudo differential):
    • Input range:
    • channel count:
    • special features:
      •  for example: integrated reference, integrated front-end-driver, high voltage input, small package size, integrated filters/averaging

And if possible if you would be willing to share the type of application this ADC will be used for that could also be helpful

    Best regards,

    Yolanda
