ADS1292: Signal drift problem

Part Number: ADS1292

Dear TI Engineer,

Our portable ECG product uses ADS1292. During signal acquisition testing, the ECG simulator signal is normal, but there may be signal drift issues when connected to human body.

Electrode is RA, LA, LL, no RL, and the waveform of the tested ECG signal are as follows:

1) 1-lead testing, and the input single is from the ECG simulator.

2) 1-lead testing, and the input single is from the human body.

3) 6-lead testing, and the input single is from the ECG simulator.

4) 6-lead testing, and the input single is from the human body.

The schematic is as follows:

Can you help analyze the cause of this problem?

Thanks,

Best Regards

  • Hi Lumina,

The ADS1292 seems to be operating normally. This issue is likely caused by poor contact between the electrode and the body. This is not something we can help to support, besides suggesting that the customer improve the connection to reduce the contact impedance of the electrodes. Shielded cables may also help to reduce any power line interference as well.

    Regards,

    Ryan
