ADS1260: Sample rate and input frequencies.

Part Number: ADS1260
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ADS1240,

Dear Sir,

With reference to the attached image, I would be grateful for any guidance wrt whether the response shown from the ADS1260B device is expected behaviour?

Essentially with a sample rate of 50 sps, the ADS1260B appears to attenuate input frequencies below 1.5Hz.

It would be easy to provide details of the register settings and circuit, but in the first instance thought to simple double-check whether such a response would be expected, and or dependent upon the register settings.

FWIW the response is similar regarding of filter option (sinc1..4, or FIR), and or chop-mode.ComparisonOfADCresponse_ADS_1260_vs_1240.png

Thank you for your guidance in this matter.

Kind regards,

  • Hi,

Welcome to E2E! Would you mind providing some additional detail about your setup?

Are you using the TI EVM to test the ADS1260 and ADS1240 or are you using a custom board? If you're using a custom board, would you mind sharing a schematic?

    Thanks,

    Maggie
